Our Ridgeway has been the best thing we've added to our backyard. Three summers in and it still looks brand new. The cedar holds up beautifully through Tennessee winters.
We started by building one playset, for our family, in our backyard.
We couldn't find what we wanted, so we built it.
We spent many hours searching for the perfect playset for our new family. All we could find were the large retailers and online stores. We ended up buying a kit from a large online retailer — and right from the start, we realized it was a mistake. We had to meet the truck with a large enough trailer to pick up the kit. The “easy to install” claim was just not true. A 100+ page book and hundreds of small parts made the task tedious. I would have given anything to hire a local company to deliver and install a kit for us. Instead, I spent over a week trying to figure it out.
Then, in the first year, the cheap wood split, cracked, and parts broke off of the playset. And it's very clear why this happened: they designed the wood to be cheap and light to ship. Smaller pieces pack into boxes much easier. This reduces their costs while creating a painful self-install experience for a product that just doesn't last.
This led me to connect with a friend who can truly build anything. We came up with our own designs, researched home-playground safety requirements, and started building our own playsets. We build them in modules that fit together — meaning the install is truly simple and the playset is incredibly strong. We blow past most of the safety guidelines because of our sturdy structures. And we use the same swings, slides, and accessory parts the big-box companies use, since those are pre-certified and built to last. The end result is a strong, reliable, and safe playset that our own kids play on every day.
Today, we continue to build and ship new playsets while innovating on ideas that bring the whole family together. We look forward to delivering a DIY kit, or installing a new cedar playset, in your backyard across Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, Elizabethton, and the rest of Northeast Tennessee. If you're farther out, let us know — we might be able to make it work for you.

We went with the on-site install and it was worth every dollar. They were here at 7 a.m. and finished by sunset. Our girls were swinging that same evening.
I'm not handy. I was nervous about the kit, but the instructions are genuinely the best I've ever followed. Took me and my brother-in-law a Saturday and a Sunday morning.
We worked with them on a custom design for our slope. They figured out a tiered platform we never would have thought of. The kids call it 'the treehouse castle.'
